GAC'S “ACM Showcase" Spotlights Country Music's New Artists

Eight of country music’s most talented newcomers -- each competing for the Academy of Country Music’s New Artist of the Year honor – will be featured on ACM Showcase, Monday, January 16, 8:00 pm/Eastern on Great American Country (GAC).  The 47^th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be held Sunday, April 1, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

 To honor the memory of a Bluegrass Hall of Fame icon, the Country Music Hall of Fame^® and Museum will   present an interview with Great American Country (GAC) executive Sarah Trahern at the fifth annual Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum on Monday, December 12, 2011, at 6 p.m. in the Ford Theater.  A reception will follow the program.  The program is open to the public, and admission is free.
